And here are our Mexican mugs; PA’s on the left which was bought in Puebla when we were there for the Pop Culture Assn conference at the Uni of the Americas (I think). I gave a talk on my father called The Sound of Silents – it’s online somewhere.
The pretty flowered one is my cracked one which we bought in Santa Fe, or Taos, at a Mexican shop. The thick paint holds the mug together but one day I’ll have to replace it.
The green glass is one of two remaining from 6, and we have never seen any like this since, i.e. in this bright bottle green glass but tapered. We have had to buy some which are the same dark green but straight sided – not so nice to hold as they are quite wide.
If you ever see any like this one in the photo, give me a shout, please.
