#23 Talking About Silent Films

I am a member of the Albuquerque Film Society. Every month we have a weekend when an old film is shown at our dear Guild Cinema.

Every town should have a small, friendly movie house that shows films off the radar (and sometimes on it). With a friendly, helpful proprietor like ours does.

Frank, who captains the AFS, recently shared a link to a wonderful website. He says:

“May I suggest http://moviessilently.com/ for fans of silent film and those who wish to learn more about silent films and what is available.

Host/writer Fritzi Kramer is witty, knowledgeable and opinionated. Chuckles in every column.”

I have written to Fritzi and hope to establish a dialog about the evolution of sound from silent films, which will help me write the biography of my father, Stan Watkins.

Now, where have you seen that name before, I wonder???
