I thought I was getting on when I had my 80th birthday in September.
But last night we were serenaded by Tonie Apodaca who just turned 92. For two hours she played her two accordians and her guitar with her foot tapping all the time, singing and having us in stitches with her funny faces and cheeky songs. What a performer!
And on Wednesday the Veteran’s Day ceremony at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center honored 99 year old Tony Reyna from Taos. He was on the Bataan March and spent four years in a prison camp. What a survivor!
I still have a long way to go, and I hope when I get there, you will be able to say: What a Gal!
