In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Treat.”
It’s a great treat for me to be able to read without stopping. I read very fast (which means I can always reread a favorite book that I zipped through) and never stop for chapter headings. That makes it hard to look up endnotes that are not indexed by page numbers. Note to self: remember to do that with your dad’s biography.
So give me time, and even if it is bedtime, let me just finish that paragraph, page, chapter, book. And get on to the next one.
